On April 19th, it was reported that in order to reduce the investment cost of pharmaceutical warehouses, China National Pharmaceutical Cold Chain has partnered with warehouses across the country to create the "National Warehouse Series - Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Terminal" by leveraging the advantage of China National Pharmaceutical Logistics covering multiple warehouses with GSP certification, providing diversified pharmaceutical ecosystem services and products.

       The pharmaceutical cold chain terminal is an online cloud warehouse that is currently the only online booking entrance for Sinopharm Logistics, enabling online booking of Sinopharm's national warehouses and related service products.

Gu Yimin, General Manager of Sinopharm Logistics, stated that at the beginning of this year, the country's management and reconstruction of the vaccine system, especially the "two ticket system" promoted by the State Council Medical Reform Office in the medical system reform, and the "one ticket system" for vaccines, require various distribution enterprises to jointly promote the reform and development of the "one ticket system". China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (Sinopharm) is involved in all aspects of the cold chain, and the biggest challenge is to achieve continuous cold chain logistics. Based on its resource advantages nationwide, Sinopharm needs to streamline and connect the national system.

       Previously, Sinopharm conducted nationwide bidding for its existing system. Many well-known domestic enterprises participated in the bidding and expressed their recognition of Sinopharm's existing system, which is considered one of the highest standards in the industry.

From the perspective of Sinopharm logistics, it is fully capable of undertaking the warehousing and logistics system, including adding cold chain dedicated vehicles in several major cities across the country and providing warehouse dry distribution systems for many enterprises.

Why does Sinopharm need to open up system cooperation? Gu Yimin said that it is more important to achieve synergy in the supply chain, hoping to provide integrated cold chain services for warehouse, dry and distribution for more manufacturing and production enterprises, truly achieving seamless connection throughout the entire process.

       Liu Xiaoping, former Deputy Director of the Drug and Cosmetics Supervision Department of the State Food and Drug Administration, stated that the National Health and Family Planning Commission is formulating regulations to standardize the storage and transportation of vaccines.

He said that the uniqueness of drugs is reflected in their being both commodities and different from general commodities. The biggest concept in the pharmaceutical industry is uniqueness, and the bottom line for storage and transportation of pharmaceutical companies is GSP (Good Manufacturing Practice), which is also a necessary guarantee for drug safety. It is stipulated by China's Drug Administration Law that engaging in drug business activities must comply with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of the entire supply chain, especially at the source.

       The main contradiction in the pharmaceutical circulation field in China over the past few decades, according to Liu Xiaoping, is cold chain management. The high risk of cold chain products exacerbates the difficulty of cold chain management. For enterprises, it is necessary to establish a sound system, including the material basis of software and hardware, temperature recording, display, transmission, and download data during transportation, forming a data chain, and controlling drugs in transit or in stock within the prescribed range.

       By using technological methods to reduce human errors, basic cold chain management in the industry can be achieved. Currently, the biggest weakness is how to control drugs in air transportation.
